OKADA MARIE
Etching and Aquatint
Okada Marie is one of the fastest rising stars on the Japanese print scene, redefining the field of etching and aquatint with her alternatively sweet and mysterious landscapes and abstracted vignettes of nature as if seen through a microscope. A talented colorist, her palette is unique in the Japanese print world as a whole. She is profoundly influenced by nature which informs all her work.
